My favorite class this past semester was Paul Meyer’s new class Creative Capture, which was all about in-camera creativity and experimenting with film. We played around with pinhole cameras, interesting concepts and any in camera effects we could think of. We went deep with a self portrait series and got to see awesome Lindsey Ross show us how a wet plate collodian process works. At the end Paul produced a small book of our favorite images. Here is the link for you to check it out and order one of you want. The image above was taken by me for one of the assignments called ‘Who are you’, where we had to capture one of our classmates and discover something new about them. This is Claire Eggers- one of the most creative shooters I have had the pleasure of meeting at Brooks. We related a lot about the crazy ride we have been on at Brooks, resulting in this double exposure I took of her in her yard with my Hassy. Check out Claire’s awesome work here.
